The Multiple Listing Service, or MLS, is a prominent database system that enables real estate agents and brokers to communicate local property listings with one another. It makes it easier to connect buyers and sellers. AREAS allows you to distribute your Virtual Tours in your MLS systems.
There are hundreds of MLSs throughout the country. They follow a standard set of rules to ensure a smooth transmission of information among their local communities. The National Association of Realtors develops and maintains MLS systems.
Posting a property listing to a local MLS is an important step in bringing an offer to market. If you have 360° tours of your properties, you’ll want to include them in the listing.
Virtual tours of MLS
MLS systems accept links to virtual tours; however, there are some restrictions. No real estate agent or office information is permitted, and all real estate signage must be removed (or blurred). No real estate office logos are authorized. There are fines for not following these regulations, and AREAS ensures your tours are compliant before uploading!
Most local MLSs permit links from any provider; others, such as NTREIS (North Texas), only accept connections from pre-approved sites.
